Transcript
More than $16 million in disaster relief payments will be available for producers applying for USDA's Supplemental Disaster Relief Program. Yet Undersecretary for Farm Production and Conservation Richard Fordyce offers the reminder that the application deadline is almost here. The sign-up deadline for SDRP, Stage 1, Stage 2, quality loss, everything involved under SDRP ends on August the 12th. The Undersecretary adds, while Stage 1 and 2's sign-up have taken place over a longer period of time, the quality loss component of SDRP has been a recent offering. And this is all crops, Title I crops, trees, vines, bushes, just about anything that we grow in this country would be eligible. With all components covering qualifying losses for crop years 2023 and 2024. More information is available at www.fsa.usda.gov slash SDRP. I'm Rod Bain reporting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.
