Visit Myrtle Beach on The Sporkful

When my family and I went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina recently, of course, we got there. We went straight to the beach. It's called Myrtle Beach for a reason. There's 60 miles of sunny beaches, big, wide, beautiful beaches. But that wasn't the only reason we went. We also went to eat because the food scene in Myrtle Beach has become a big draw. More than 2,000 restaurants to explore. They have fresh local seafood from Calabash-style favorites to casual waterfront spots serving crab and shrimp with a beautiful view of the water. There's also Southern comfort food, sushi. Sushi in South Carolina? Yes, they're right on the coast. They have phenomenal fish. Why not? Italian, Thai, soul food, craft burgers, and a thriving brewery and distillery scene, including the Myrtle Beach Beer Trail. Wouldn't you like to walk a beer trail? I had some great beers when I was in Myrtle Beach.
