Transcript

Before we get into my deep dive into the latest between the US and Iran, it's now time for an update on the blood supply from Lifeblood. Lifeblood is urgently calling on an extra 12,000 people to donate blood this week as winter illnesses continue to impact blood supplies. O and A blood types, along with B negative, are most urgently needed and are critical for emergencies and everyday treatments. Nationally, they're seeing up to 1,600 donation appointments sitting empty every day with many more people cancelling than usual. Only 3% of Australians donate blood. Regular donors alone cannot sustain supplies through winter and patients are depending on people who are fit and well to step forward. We'd all want blood to be there if it was someone we knew or loved who needed it. Search blood supply and book a donation today.
