Aboriginal land. Hello, it's Ruby here, the host of Inherited. I'm in your ears to let you know about this week's interview with Australian comedian Sean McAuliffe. Sean is one of our most beloved comedic talents here in Australia. You might know him from his TV series Mad as Hell or Talking About Your Generation or more recently from shows like Origins of Odyssey on SBS or Going for Broke on ABC. Sean was 30 years old when he took the plunge into comedy and left behind his career in law. He's funny and wise and had plenty of lessons to share with us today. Here's a quick snippet of our conversation. I don't have a lot of opinions about things. So if someone asks me something for the first time, what do you think about this particular incendiary subject? I'll go, I don't think I know enough about that to have an opinion. And what I'm really saying is, I don't know whether I'm versed in this subject proficiently in order to express an opinion. I might feel something, but whether that's worth expressing is another thing to my intimate friends and family. Yes, expressing feelings is important, but I would never do that publicly because what's the point? Everybody's got a feeling. I don't think they all need to be broadcast on a social media account.
