Let's take a break for a chart metric stat of the week, where this week's theme is the World Cup. I have been locked in to this year's World Cup. What a great tournament that they've had this year. I know people are disappointed the US didn't make it further, but hey, it's been great, the expanded format works, I've been watching more World Cup than I have in the past, and even the teams that I don't root for, I can normally find something to rock with, where in this case, the English team has had Wonderwall as its anthem. I'll be honest, I probably rooted against England in every match that they've had, but seeing them all be arm-in-arms singing Wonderwall is pretty dope. And for those that don't know, Wonderwall is actually in the top five on Spotify for the most streamed songs from the 90s. Number five, Coolio Gangsta's Paradise. Number four is Oasis Wonderwall with 2.86 billion streams as of today, July 9th. Third, Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit. Two, Radiohead Creep, and number one, a song we've talked about quite a bit on this episode, the Google Dolls, Iris. Let's see where Wonderwall continues to go from here, and let's see how far England goes, even if I'm not rooting for them. Let's get back to the episode.
